COLOMBO (News 1st); The Hambantota International Port (HIP) has reported a significant increase in volumes, achieving a 40% growth in 2024 to date.
The port’s Commercial and Marketing division anticipates this growth to reach 50% by the end of the year.
Significant growth has been observed in the Bulk/Break-bulk, Gas, Marine Services, and Container segments.
The port is increasingly recognized for its strategic location and efficient services, making it a preferred destination for transshipment and logistical services.
