Sri Lankans living anywhere in Canada, their families, community organisations, businesses and anyone with a respectful interest in the community may register. Registered members can submit an event with its date, time, venue, organiser, location, description and contact details. eLanka Canada offers managed sponsored placements in selected parts of the website. Available formats, timing and commercial arrangements must be confirmed directly because the website does not publish fixed advertising prices or guarantees. The Marketplace lets registered members submit items for local sale with a description, condition, price, location and photographs. Listings are reviewed before publication, and sellers can mark an available item as sold. Visitors can search published room listings by province, city, property type and price. Registered members can submit a room with rent, availability, facilities, utilities, images and owner contact information. The current registration form does not charge a membership fee. Registration provides access to the member dashboard and content submission tools. This does not mean that advertised services, marketplace items, rooms, donations or future optional offerings are free; users should check the relevant listing or contact the provider.
